The Stars

On the fourth day, God created stars and He said it was good. On the seventh day, God created humans in His likeness and said it was very good. God created every creature and every thing for a purpose, a very specific purpose. In my opinion, the greatest thing created was the stars. The stars are the symbol of God's magnificent power and unfathomable love. As humans, we cannot count the stars; there are too many and they seemingly continue on forever. Explain to me how an accident could create something so infinite and powerful as the stars. God displays His majesty and power in so many objects and actions in creation, but the stars are the most tangible and incredible for me. They paint an exquisite picture of a God of love and unfathomable power. This picture is created through the infinite qualities of the stars and galaxies and the personal qualities of God can be seen in the fact that He gave us our own star. The proximity of the sun to our planet is no accident. In the times when I have lost my faith or feel as if I simply cannot take another step, the LORD reminds me of the stars. They are, to me, the symbol of His power and intensely personal love. Looking at the stars reminds me that He is with me. His peace washes over me. The next time you feel that God is too far away, look into the night sky and be reminded that the creator of the galaxies and infinite stars is deeply in love with you!
