This is the place where my heart will speak. When God puts words on my heart, I will write them here and my only prayer is that they touch just one person. This will also be the journey of my own faith as I seek to find my place in God's marvelous story! I have only one request: read my very first post before you begin! Then you will know my story!

Resolutions?
New Year's Resolutions. What a ridiculous notion. Because saying that you will do it next year is going to help you attain your goal of loosing twenty pounds or becoming the next CEO of a Fortune 500 company. I'm sorry to kill your dreams my friends, but you will not fulfill your goals any better in the coming year than you did last year. So set aside your worldly goals and seek to do something heavenly. I, too, have attempted many New Year's Resolutions, and I don't believe I have completed one yet. That is because there was no drive, no passion, behind my goal. What could be done if we truly desired to complete our resolutions? As I have challenged myself, I challenge you to seek God's will in this coming year. Ask the Lord what it is that He desires for you to accomplish in 2013. Be willing to hear Him tell you that it will be hard and you may have to give up something that you think you can't live without. Simply ask God, "What can I do for You this year?" And then listen and simply write what He puts on your heart. Put that piece of paper in a place where you can see it. Every morning look at it and ask God to help you do what it is that you wrote on that paper. I believe that next year at this time, you will be amazed at what how completely God fulfilled His story through you! This is not only a challenge for you, but also one for me, too! So set aside your worldly goals and aspiration, because none of it will last; strive to complete the task that God will give you this year! Have courage and divorce yourself from the ways of this world, the LORD will help you!
The Stars
On the fourth day, God created stars and He said it was good. On the seventh day, God created humans in His likeness and said it was very good. God created every creature and every thing for a purpose, a very specific purpose. In my opinion, the greatest thing created was the stars. The stars are the symbol of God's magnificent power and unfathomable love. As humans, we cannot count the stars; there are too many and they seemingly continue on forever. Explain to me how an accident could create something so infinite and powerful as the stars. God displays His majesty and power in so many objects and actions in creation, but the stars are the most tangible and incredible for me. They paint an exquisite picture of a God of love and unfathomable power. This picture is created through the infinite qualities of the stars and galaxies and the personal qualities of God can be seen in the fact that He gave us our own star. The proximity of the sun to our planet is no accident. In the times when I have lost my faith or feel as if I simply cannot take another step, the LORD reminds me of the stars. They are, to me, the symbol of His power and intensely personal love. Looking at the stars reminds me that He is with me. His peace washes over me. The next time you feel that God is too far away, look into the night sky and be reminded that the creator of the galaxies and infinite stars is deeply in love with you!

Who but You?
"Who, but You, would ever choose to dream Your dream in me?" These words are the lyrics of one of the songs from The Story, a beautiful narrative of the story of the Bible. This particular song is telling the story of Abraham and Sarah. When I first heard this song, I connected to it because I often ponder the same thoughts. Why would the God of the universe hand pick me to do His work? Where did He ever see the right tools and abilities? But as I have seen written before: "God doesn't call the qualified, He qualifies the called." God has chosen me to be the star in His story, maybe for only a chapter or a line, but He chose me! What an honor, and responsibility, one that I do not take lightly. God has chosen YOU to be a part of His story, do not avoid your role in His glorious plan! Step forward as Abraham and Sarah did! And just as Abraham made a mistake, so might you! But he was forgiven and was the father of many! God fulfilled His promise to Abraham and He will fulfill His to you! So hold your head high, because the LORD desires to dream His dream in you!
The First
I have created this blog as a kind of resolution. God has given me the ability to take words and paint beautiful pictures and write stories, and I feel as if I am wasting that gift. This is one small way that I can share my gift. This blog was created with prayer and through the conviction that it was time to share my thoughts. I will never write anything on this page without prayer and deep thought and a complete assurance that what I write is what God desires for me to share. That is a promise. There are so many thoughts that God has put in my mind and on my heart and I feel it is time to share them. So here I am, sharing my deepest thoughts and prayers in the hope that they may bless even one person. This is my prayer: Father God, you have given me the ability to write and I beg you to help me lay on paper the words that need to be said. Help me to never write my own words, but only those you have given me. Assist me to help in healing even one heart. That is all I desire. I am astounded that You have chosen me, a sinful, cowardly, knock-kneed girl who wants to honor You but finds it to be the greatest challenge ever to be encountered. I want only to honor You. Forever kneeling at Your feet! Amen. Dear friends, I pray that you will be blessed by the words that will come and please do not hesitate to share the ramblings of YOUR heart with me! May God bless you abundantly!
